2010 Photo Contest Rules

You've purchased your weekend pass, signed up for specific activities, and made your travel plans - all that's left to do is dust off the camera and get ready for the 2010 Chequamegon Bay Birding & Nature Photo Challenge.

To participate, all you have to do is take photos during the Chequamegon Bay Birding & Nature Festival, May 21-23. You will then have one month to select up to ten (10) of your best shots and submit them to the photo challenge.  Deadline for entries is Sunday, August 1, 2010.

Categories

Photos should fit into one of the following categories:

Birds

Other Wildlife

Flowers and Plants

Ashland & Bayfield County Scenery

People Doing Festival Activities

Winners and Prizes

One photo will be selected to win the overall Grand Prize.  One photo from each of the remaining four categories will receive a First Place award.

Grand Prize (1 winner) - Binoculars or a Vortex Nomad Spotting Scope, generously donated by Eagle Optics,
Individual Registration for 2011 Chequamegon Bay Birding & Nature Festival, plus 2010 festival T-shirt.

First Place (4 winners) - Individual Registration for 2011 Chequamegon Bay Birding & Nature Festival, plus 2010 festival T-shirt.

Winners will be notified via email or phone. 

How to Submit Your Photos

Photos can be black-and-white or color and should be digital images.  For consideration, each entry must include:

Name
Mailing address
Phone number
E-mail address
Brief description of the photo (what, where, when, etc.) including category

Email your 300 dpi digital photos to Photo Contest.

Deadline for entries is Sunday, August 1, 2010.

All photos submitted to the Chequamegon Bay Birding & Nature Photo Challenge become property of Ashland and Bayfield County Tourism.
